Her Story
Medicine was always the only answer.
Dr. Casey has known she wanted to practice medicine since childhood. As a young student athlete, she worked in the athletic training room and fell in love with anatomy, exercise science, and injury rehab — the beginning of a lifelong curiosity about how the human body works.
In medical school, she found herself captivated by every rotation — pediatrics, psychiatry, obstetrics, primary care, surgery. Family medicine was the natural home. It had a little bit of everything, all types of patients, and the chance to develop long-term relationships with the people she cared for.
After more than a decade of family medicine with obstetrics, Dr. Casey transitioned into breastfeeding medicine and earned her IBCLC certification — a decision rooted in her own personal experiences as a new mother and a commitment to serving families in a space where she saw real need.
I love practicing medicine in the community where I have lived and raised my family. Running into people whose lives I have touched doing everyday things — at the gym, the farmer's market, my kids' sports games — reminds me of the reach I have had in impacting the health of my community.
Dr. Casey is studying for her MSCP certification in menopause care, expanding her already broad scope to serve women even more deeply through midlife transitions.
At Trillium, she has built the practice she always envisioned — welcoming to all, unhurried, and centered on real partnership with her patients toward their healthiest selves.

Preventive Care
Comprehensive preventive care for all ages, including pediatrics — annual wellness visits, physicals, vaccinations, cancer screenings, and proactive chronic disease management.

Anxiety, depression, and mood concerns are treated as part of the whole person — woven into primary care rather than siloed away from the rest of your health.
In-Office Procedures
Skin biopsies, gynecologic procedures, IUD insertions, Nexplanon placement, and more — all in a familiar, comfortable setting with your own physician.
Dr. Casey also provides gender-affirming primary care and hormone management for transgender and non-binary patients.
FEATURED SPECIALTY
Breastfeeding medicine.
Dr. Casey is one of very few primary care physicians in the area who is also a board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). Her decision to pursue this specialty came from her own personal experiences as a new mother — and her recognition that this is a profoundly underserved area where she could make a meaningful difference for families when they need it most.
Whether you're preparing before your baby arrives, navigating a difficult fourth trimester, returning to work, or facing a breastfeeding challenge that hasn't been taken seriously — Dr. Casey brings both clinical expertise and deep personal understanding to this work.
— Prenatal lactation consultation
— Tongue-tie diagnosis and scissor frenotomy
— Fourth trimester breastfeeding support
— Low milk supply and latch challenges
— Pumping guidance and return-to-work planning
— Weaning support
— Induction of lactation
— Mastitis and breast infection treatment
— Poor infant weight gain
— Oversupply and engorgement
HER APPROACH
Evidence-based. Personalized. Preventive first.
Dr. Casey's practice is grounded in the latest scientific research and a genuine curiosity about the "why" and "how" of medicine. She brings new knowledge alongside longtime clinical experience to offer the most current, thoughtful care possible.
Listens first — takes time to understand the full context before problem-solving
Unrushed visits that feel more like talking to an old friend than a clinical encounter
Focuses on root causes, not just symptoms
Partners with patients to come up with the best treatment plan together
"My primary goal is to connect with people on a personal level, discover their health and wellness goals, and work together on a plan to improve their health."
DR. CASEY’S CARE PHILOSOPHY
OUTSIDE THE CLINIC
Rooted in Our Community.
Always learning.
Dr. Casey is raising her two daughters in the same community where she practices — and she wouldn't have it any other way. She coaches volleyball, cheers from the sidelines at soccer, and runs into her patients at the gym and the farmer's market.
Outside of family life, she lifts weights, hikes, and snowboards. She loves to garden — mostly cut flowers, which she gifts often to friends and neighbors. That same generosity shows up every day in how she practices medicine.
She describes herself as a perpetual learner, always curious about the "why" and "how" of the world — both in medicine and outside of it. That curiosity is one of the things her patients love most about her.
